Choosing a yeast ingredient for an animal feed programme
Sixteen feed-grade products, four series, and five animal groups. This note is the shortest route from a formulation objective to the two or three products worth pricing.

The range is one platform, not sixteen unrelated products
The feed catalog introduces itself with a single line — one yeast platform, multiple nutritional functions — and groups the sixteen products into four series: yeast protein and nutrition, species-specific nutrition, functional yeast, and specialty solutions.
That grouping is the first decision, because it maps onto the reason a buyer is at the catalogue. Buying protein, buying a species-specific culture, buying a functional fraction, or buying something for a defined problem each starts a different series.

The question that separates the protein series
All three protein-series products are declared at a crude protein of ≥ 40.0% or ≥ 45.0%, and all three are non-viable, so protein alone does not decide between them. The differences that do:

If the species is named in a registration or a customer specification, that decides it: torula yeast and brewer's yeast are different organisms, and the data sheets say so.
Where to find the rate
Inclusion rates are published per species on each product's data sheet, and the application pages collect them by animal. Ranges differ by an order of magnitude between product families, which is why comparing quotations across families on price per tonne alone misleads:

Species programmes
Four of the five application areas have their own page, each listing the products whose data sheets name that animal together with the rate:
• Poultry — broiler, layer and breeder feeds
• Swine — piglet, weaner, grower, finisher and sow feeds
• Ruminants — dairy, beef, sheep, goat and camel diets
• Aquafeed — fish, shrimp, prawn, shellfish, hatchery and nursery diets
• Pet food — pet-food and companion-animal formulations
The catalog groups products the same way for swine, listing the options it considers relevant to a swine programme: BrewPro™, UtiliPro™, FeedPro™, CelluGuard™, AutoRich™, ProYeasture™, MannoGuard™, YeastMatrix™, NucleoYeast™, SeleniPro™ and AromaFly™.
Functional fractions: two things to check
The functional series is where specifications are most easily misread, for two reasons.
First, several products carry more than one fraction, and the percentages trade off against each other. CelluGuard™ declares beta-glucan ≥ 35.0%, mannan ≥ 25.0% and MOS ≥ 15.0% together; MannoGuard™ is sold as five MOS grades from ≥ 20% to ≥ 40%, and as MOS rises the beta-glucan content falls from 15% to 5%.
Second, three products specify their inclusion guide by grade rather than by species, so their data sheets carry a separate application areas table naming the animals — AquaGlucan™, MannoGuard™ and YeastMatrix™. Reading only the rate table would leave those three looking as though they had no species guidance at all.
Before you enquire
Four details turn an enquiry into a quotation without a round trip:
• Species or species group, and the stage (starter, grower, finisher, lactation)
• The property being bought — protein level, MOS or beta-glucan percentage, nucleotide content, viable count, selenium form
• Whether the cells need to be viable, which narrows the range to two products immediately
• Destination market, because permitted use, labelling and documentation requirements are market-specific
